Grandparents day

What a special day it was. The church was packed with grandparents and other family members. The age range was months to 95 years! Father Tim took a great Mass, then we had a yummy morning tea and a spectacular gymnastics display. Here are some of our wonderful Grandparents with their gorgeous grandchildren.

Look at the Tui Cartographers in training!

Thanks Gareth ( Matalena's Dad) for coming in and showing us what cartographers do. Several of us love drawing maps and isn't it great knowing there is a career out there doing just that!

Welcome Toby & Whanau

Today we welcomed Toby and his whanau to Sacred Heart Petone. Shelley and his friend Sam came along to support him from Petone Beach. His big cousins stood with him, Tom and Dad shared some things about Toby. We are so thrilled to have you join us Toby !

Black out Day

It all started with a letter from  our very own Emily. She asked Miss Heatley and Mr Solia if we could have a whole school 'All Blacks' Day'. We decided to combine it with fundraising for Henry over in Australia. What an inspiring day and a true reflection on the awesome community we have here at Sacred Heart. Over $1500 was raised for Henry and it was a fantastic day for everyone, well there may have been moments Mr Solia didn't enjoy.

School Prayer

When it was our turn to lead school prayer we acted out the scripture 'The Good Samaritan'. Sharing with the rest of the school the message God gives us through this story.

Our Trip to Orongomai Marae

Despite the long wait for our bus to arrive, we finally started our amazing experience at Orongomai marae. We had a fantastic time and learnt so much.

Welcoming new Tuis

This term we have welcomed 3 new Tuis and their whanau. Huge welcome to Ben, Greta and Lily. It's great to have you here.
