Firewise Sessions with Firefighters Danny and Sam

Throughout this term we have been learning how to keep ourselves 'Firewise'. Fiefighters Danny and Sam came to school to go through what we need to do. Has everyone at home discussed your escape plan? Do you have a safe meeting place? Now's a great time to have a family chat.

Kia ora Gabrielle and Vaka! Te Mauri is so thrilled that his Mum and Dad are coming into teach the whole Junior School, waiata and poi.

RISE UP TIME

Rise up Time has well and truly started in Tui Class. We all love it and Mrs Pennington is amazed everyday by how many things we can do. Please check out the state of the Art display Maree has created for us explaining the value of what we are doing.

MindLab

On Monday we all walked down to the Mindlab where we were met by the very enthusiastic Malcom. In pairs we attempted to learn the basics for coding and circuits using a programme SCRATCH. Thanks Natalie, Sharyn and Anna for coming along to give us a hand. We really needed one.

Welcome Sophia and her Family

It has been a quiet term this term with only 2 new Tuis starting but last Monday we got to welcome Sophia and her Mum and Dad at School prayer.

Sacred Heart Feast Day

"This is the best day ever!" yelled some of the Tuis. What a fantastic day we had to celebrate our special Feast day. We started by celebrating Mass with our friends at Sacred Heart Thorndon. After morning tea we headed over to the ice skating rink. We had so much fun, even though many of us were expecting to start at Olympic level we persevered and with the help of some plastic seals and more skilled skaters we had a ball.
